Escape into another world at this hidden Kyoto style restaurant in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Adorable (yet tiny) booths with a Omakase menu to let you try foreign delights. Expensive culinary journey but less than a trip to Japan. ENJOY.

Summer Tempura - Sweet and plump Mongo Ika squid, ingen beans and corn as Kakiage-style tempura is an amazing dish. Many textures and flavors. The ponzu sauce sets it off. MUST TRY

Saikyo Miso Cod - Grilled black cod in Kyoto miso marinade is always a winner! Sweet, soft and meaty!

If I had to summarize Zenkichi in an outfit it would be this structured jacket from New Zealand designer Moochi which is textured and functional, paired with a crop black top that is very Williamsburg. Zenkichi is very dark and graphic inside so an outfit with structure reflects the kyoto-style interior.
