Red Farm combines inventive and playful chinese food with a down-on-the-ranch “fresh and friendly” ambience…and this West Village star is now opened on the Upper West side, great for something yummy, casual and close to Central Park.
We went for lunch to fill up before a skip around the park and the playing started as soon as we got in the restaurant. The menu boasts fun starters, a vast and confident dumpling section and huge “family style” platter main courses.
Dim sum master chef Joe Ng and Chinese food expert Ed Schoenfeld aim Red Farm to be one of the most exciting and influential restaurants in the country and I would say it is… only in a very casual way. RedFarm brings a greenmarket sensibility to modern and inventive Chinese food and a super-charged dim sum section. Most of all, you come away feeling inspired, full and delighted with visual presentation and flavors.

WHAT TO WEAR?
Why not go a bit Rockabilly and wear a casual cotton button-up shirt and a floral skirt… Down on the farm in the city.. like from this Marie Claire story. Wear your hair in a pony tail with a quiff in the front. You know what’s going on 😉
