Its affordable, has live music and offers small seafood plates and “duets” for your main-course so you get to try even more dishes! What is not to love about the wee neighborhood fave Le Pescadeux.
Located on Thompson street in Soho, it is the only restaurant in New York City that focuses on “the French-Canadian culinary migration experience, from the maritimes through Quebec and down to Louisiana”. That may seem like a pretentious notion, but once you try the dishes they are a migration in flavors and great for pescatarians or a lighter meal especially in the summer heat. The service is lovely and the Jazz and Blues musician brings some New York authenticity to your meal. Live Music every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday from 7-10pm + Sunday Blues Brunch. Great for a cheap cute date, a casual dinner with friends and the space is pretty chill so it’s possible to have conversation.
– Crab cakes
– Grilled Octopus
– Cod with Saffron
– Brussel Sprouts with Bacon and Apple
WHAT TO WEAR:
Inspired by the “duets” options in the dishes which we loved; a simple boxy shift dress and feminine heels. Add a little structure with a statement belt. Easy and Cool
